Founding BF Strategic Site Selection Services in 2008, Bob Frederickson brought 15 years' experience as a senior manager in two of the foremost business advisory firms and in a leading architect engineering company consulting to senior corporate executives regarding location decisions. In that time he directed site selection studies, global integration efforts, relocation projects, consolidations and other location strategy consulting engagements for clients including those in the automotive, biotechnology, electronics, financial, insurance and real estate, petrochemical, power, and pharmaceutical sectors. Types of facilities located include those for headquarters, manufacturing, back and middle office, shared services, R&D, and distribution. Bob has field experience in North America, LatinAmerica, Europe, and Africa. Through his extensive site selection and location services along with prior industry experience, Bob has developed a keen appreciation for the role of location in the overall corporate business strategy toolkit. In addition to direct project work, Bob continually engages with the broader economic development community and media in order to keep current on regional investment opportunities and corporate investment decisions.

He founded BF Strategic Site Selection Services in November 2008 as a boutique consulting firm working with a select number of clients. Bob brings more than 20 years of experience advising corporate executives regarding location decisions as a senior managing consultant with IBM Global Business Services, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Fluor Daniel Corp. Earlier in his career, Bob held Program Management positions that included relocation or site selection responsibility with Pharmacia, Inc. (since acquired by Pfizer) and Bechtel Corp.
